It’s the wish of every parent who ever booked an Austin family photography session – one, just one, shot in which all kids are looking at the camera. If the setting is a rustic Texas beauty, so much the better.
The Alvarado family, consisting of three (beautiful) kids and their (beautiful) parents, accomplished just that. To set the scene, Mama Alvarado wanted a natural setting and strictly Texas look with a touch of glamour. She got it – check out their boots! This family is stunning and ready for a fashion shoot.

Maggie proved every inch the stereotypical firstborn and only girl. She’s doting, nurturing, and the crown jewel of the family.

Next, baby brother Jack, meanwhile, just turned two and is full of life, charm, and energy. Just look at those gorgeous eyes! In typical two-year-old fashion, Jack ignored bribery offered to make him stay still. Nevertheless, Ziem managed to capture his vibrant personality on camera.
Finally, middle brother Sam wasn’t excited about being photographed. This makes him consistent with 100% of Ziem’s male clients. Nevertheless, Ziem found a way to get Sam interested – grasshopper collecting.

Ziem is thrilled to have met the Alvarados through a mutual friend and client. Photographers in Austin dream of shooting such a photogenic group, strictly Texas style!

In the end it goes to show how a little pre-shoot preparation by parents results in big smiles on camera! Ziem loved working with these sweet Neland littles and is thrilled to be working with the entire clan later this month.
Their decidedly non-matching outfits worked perfectly in the shoot’s urban summertime setting. Adelina’s pink tutu provided a fun pop of color, which balanced out little brother Theo’s adventures with girly flair. Ziem loved Marissa’s adventurous mixing of florals, gingham, and solids for the family outfits.
Finally, Theo’s mud run provided the perfectly imperfect ending to the shoot. The photographer and the smiles didn’t stop there! Ziem was able to sneak a few shots of his “walk of shame”. It’s those real moments that Ziem is so good at capturing on film, those (sometimes messy!) bits that make up a large part of parenting.
In the end, however, it was those unexpected moments that let the fun-loving nature of this family shine in photos. Ziem loved working with the Hesters and looks forward to more messy adventures to come!

Next, the Aghamalians treated Ziem to one of their favorite activities – golf carting around the neighborhood. Between that and their home’s ample natural light, seems like the setting couldn’t have been better for showcasing this loving bunch.
