Dear future husbands: please plan a secret photographer for your proposal. Your future bride wants that genuine moment captured on film.

Here is one of my favorite shots of a bridal session I did in northwest Austin last month. Natalie is such a dream to photograph. She is equally beautiful inside and out. I can’t wait to share the rest of her bridal and wedding photos!
Adore this gang and loved doing their family photos / little brother’s 2nd birthday portraits a couple of weeks ago. I can’t believe he’s already two; it was just yesterday that I was doing his maternity photos!
Lifestyle sessions at home make me so so happy. Not only do I enjoy getting to see what my friends and clients have done with the work I’ve produced, but it is a place where children are typically the happiest and most relaxed. In some cases, so relaxed that they start marching around in undies. Pure cuteness.
And we totally bribed our way thru this shoot with things that only moms of boys would understand. But if you ask me, blonde-haired, blue-eyed boys can do no wrong!
That’s right – even superheroes must brush their teeth!! Big brother even sang the birthday song whilst brushing. Seriously. . . CUTE.

I’ve been shooting long enough (pre-digital) to see the progression of smiling, happy faces to backs of cell phones lining the aisle during a wedding processional. It is a bit saddening. As you can imagine, my heart did leaps of joy when I found out Natalie and Michael were having and “unplugged” ceremony. This idea of asking guests to turn away from their devices for 30 minutes meant everyone was truly paying witness and present.. Here is part one of their wedding day, just before the bride walked down the aisle at the Terrace Club in Dripping Springs.

About this time last year, we were all waiting with bated breath for the arrival of this sweet little baby. And, fast forward one year, we have another successful graduate of my belly to birthday photography experience. I have loved photographing this little angelic being in and around my favorite Austin parks these past 12 months. She has truly made the world and her home a prettier place.
A few of my favorites below, not the least of which was the announcement photo from her newborn session.
Happy birthday, Miss P! Hope it is full of cake and giggles! xo
