I loved this lifestyle Austin newborn photography. It was low key and fuss-free, just as every newborn photo session should be! This mom had to forget everything she remembered about nesting and nurseries; their second son arrived just days after their move to from Houston into their brand new Austin home. This was also not long after Mama Lauren’s maternity session (I’ll be sharing more from both sessions soon). Pregnant women, without a doubt, have the natural urge to nest. I am sure that mom and dad will be getting rest and emptying boxes in time.

Austin Bluebonnet Minis 2018 – weeks away!

Austin Bluebonnet Minis 2018 kick off in 2.5 weeks (click here for details) so I’m feeling happy about this! Most of my clients have the same goal for their family session which means I’ll end up shooting in one of a few locations I love and I know well. I always challenge myself to create new, unique and fresh imagery in these popular locations. Last week, as I directed this sweet family toward a beautiful trail while I went to retrieve my bag, I saw this gorgeous threat of Spring and glorious sunset. I called for this angel Iris to meet me across the field for this very shot I had in mind. This little ray of sunshine galloped across the field and just made my day!! Now if this weather will make up its mind. #bestclients

Austin Maternity Photography | Mama Lauren

This Austin maternity photography session was the perfect way to celebrate just before Valentine’s Day! The growing bond between a mom and her expected child is really special. My body did not always agree with pregnancy. I experienced morning/afternoon/night sickness for 13 weeks both times. But I did love all the cute outfits that came with dressing my bump trimester two onward. Lauren opted for a whimsical look, clad in a fitted white dress with a train, and a flower crown that complemented the field in which we shot. I’m so glad we didn’t let a gloomy day get in the way of photos. The moody shots were a fun departure from my normal magical, sun-filled shots.
