Is there anything more quintessentially “little girl” than a springtime tea party, filled with sweets and – of course – sweet little ladies in pretty dresses?
Austin family photographer Ziem and I took advantage of the glorious spring weather – you know those perfect three minutes weeks here in Austin when it’s neither too cold nor too blisteringly hot? – to throw our girls a proper ladies’ garden party, actual fancy tea cups included. Ziem’s two even threw in some ballerina moves just to make things even more girly:
This toddler mama held her breath for the entirety of the shoot as my wee wild woman Paige sat down for “tea” (water) and cookies (“co-cos” in toddler speak) with Ziem’s two girls, but everyone behaved beautifully in oh-so-proper ladies’ tea fashion. Miss P was thrilled to be included in the big girl festivities and in an event (any event) involving cookies, showing that she definitely takes after her mother *coughs*.
Easter, perfect spring weather and little girls in party dresses – does it get any better? Oh, and cookies – did I mention there were cookies?
