pass the glitter – it’s time to sparkle and shine!

my 2012 holiday mini sessions are just around the corner and I’m getting pretty excited.

one day, four slots, a fabulous “inside out” stylized session, and so much fun!

how does a mini session differ from a full session?
regular photo sessions run sixty to ninety minutes in length at the location of your choice whereas mini sessions are conducted at a specific location chosen by the photographer and last twenty minutes.

may I book multiple mini sessions together?
you may book two or more consecutive sessions. in fact, it is recommended but not required that you book multiple sessions if you have a group of five or more.

what is the cost of a mini session and what does it include?
a non-refundable $75 is required to secure your spot. this includes: one phone consultation to discuss wardrobe, location, and meeting details, a twenty-minute session on October 21st, an online gallery of 15-30 images for proofing, sharing and ordering in early November, and three high-resolution images of your choosing + print release.

how do I sign up for a mini session?
please contact Ziem at 850.319.4591 or send a note to z@ziemphotography.com with your preferred date and time slot and plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

what happens after the session?
within two weeks of the session date, a unique link will be emailed to you with a private online gallery. from there, you will have the opportunity to preview your proofs, select three images for downloading, and purchase additional images, prints, or custom holiday cards. no purchase is necessary!

next wednesday, my little one starts mommy’s day out. to say my husband and I are getting sad at the thought of our first {and currently only} child being out of the house part time is an understatement. we’ve prepared her since the start of the year by hiring a twice weekly nanny who sang, played and fed my daughter while I was outside of the house running errands, grabbing groceries, working out, working, and or grabbing lunch with Daddy. miss T has never been under the care of anyone other than our immediate family or magda, so I will need lots of mocktails and chocolates to get through the first few weeks of drop off.

oh, and more importantly, we are meeting the teachers, classmates and other parents this friday, and so I thought it’d be fun to join the ever-so-fab, Melissa @ I Pick Pretty, for her first installment of What to Wear… Where?this week’s theme is perfectly relevant – the open house day wardrobe. I’m keeping it casual, comfortable, and me by pulling existing pieces out of the closet.. click the logo at the bottom of this post to see what my fashion forward friend {and her blogger clique with equally chic followers} will wear and join in on the fun.

{austin maternity portraits} dana + jay

I was thrilled when Dana contacted me several weeks ago about a maternity session and would choose to have them done at one of my favorite austin locations. on the morning of their shoot, I was doubly blessed with the most magical natural light filtering through the trees and plants and two glowing parents who were extremely relaxed in front of the camera. {Love it when doing what I love is made easy!}

The couple recently babymooned in Hawaii and Dana’s sisters are hosting a baby shower in a few short weeks, so it looks like this couple is just about ready to welcome their sweet baby boy into their lives! I can’t wait to find out what they’ll name him.

Dana and Jay – thank you so much for allowing me to capture the time of just the two of you before life and marriage becomes more amazing. You are going to be wonderful parents!

{austin family photographer} there’s never a wish better than this

ten years from now, I hope the Comptons will look back and remember the tender memories of this special time in their lives – the sweetness of a newborn daughter, those gentle cuddles from a very proud big brother, the way baby sister lasted ninety minutes like a perfect angel for her first {but definitely not last} portrait session and their charming and entertaining son would’ve loved nothing more than to wrap a successful photo shoot with pizza sans polo, t-shirt, and jeans.

I had the pleasure of photographing this glowing mommy-to-be {and her husband} yesterday, and couldn’t wait to share a sneak peek with you all. The sunrise was beautiful and her session was captured perfectly in the natural Austin light and setting.
